The company has been synonymous with reliable non-electric engine starting for over four decades and was the first in the world to offer a complete range of cast iron hydraulic starters for the mining industry. Customer demand led to the development of a range of turbine starters, also in cast iron and designed and bred to withstand the rigours of underground mining.
Powerworks are also the manufacturers of the Hydralift and Powerlift range of high tonnage OTR vehicle jacks and trestles as well as the Powerpress tyre presses.
Alongside the role of manufacturer, Powerworks are also the sub-Saharan distributors for IMT tyre handlers a global leader in tyre manipulation as well as Checkers Industrial Safety Products who manufacture a range of wheel chocks and buggy whips.
Our commitment to customer satisfaction does not end at the point of sale and we also offer a comprehensive after-sales service which involves periodic on-site preventative maintenance programmes for all of our equipment, thus ensuring trouble free operation for the full lifecycle of the products.
